Mancat Mentor Monday – Beware of men in overalls

Monday, February 8, 2010

Just when I thought I had no more mancat wisdom to impart to my girlfriend Tama Chan’s kittens, I learned a very impawtant lesson today that I had to share.

The outside of our building was being painted today, something I didn’t realise until I jumped down from our deck to the bit of bush outside our place.

As you can see I’m not too impressed with my makeover!

Then I had to suffer Mummy clipping the bits of painted fur between my toes and trying to clean my pads.

Oh Misha, that is one lesson every cat needs to know, but unfortunately it is usually learned the hard way – and believe me you got off easy! We have had much paintier kitties at our place.

Well for heaven’s sake, the least they could have done is put a “Wet Paint” sign out for you!

I think your mama should have left that paint on your toes and given you a canvas to walk on. You could have been the next Jackson PAWlock or something!

Oh no, how degrading! Those overall-ed men should learn to clean up after themselves

Poor baby. just remember it not detract from your manliness if you are standing on your feets.

And the lesson is…smell before you leap?
That doesn’t not look like a fun thing for a Mommy to have to clean up after. Did you leave little paw prints everywhere? That would totally be worth it!

Oh boy, Misha! That is a tough lesson to learn. At least you didn’t have to endure a bath!

Oh Misha you DO look cross! They shouldn’t have painted there until you were napping. . . maybe you should email them your schedule so they’ll know next time.

That was rude of them, to paint right where you were going to be! Could have been worse though – once my roomie Binga ventured out onto a deck that was freshly tarred. Not only did her paws get a thorough scrubbing, she had to wear a cone of shame until my human was satisfied that all the poisonous tar was off her feet!
