Laps are for cats

Friday, February 26, 2010

A couple of weeks ago Mummy got another computer. She said with this computer she could help me with my blogging and visiting my furiends from the comfort of the couch. I’m all about snuggling on the couch, so I was all for this purchase.

However, there has been a less than desired side-effect. What Mummy failed to mention was that this computer would take up all the room on her lap! I guess the fact that it is called a ‘Laptop’ should have been my first clue.

I’m not gonna let it beat me, though. If I’m sneaky I can probably usurp it from prime lap position.

MIssion accomplished!

We have a new laptop as well, and there has been a lot of dirty looks and attempts to sprawl across the keyboard.

Just stand on the keyboard, that’s what I do.

You told her! They need to stop calling those things LAPtops so humans stop mistakenly thinking they belong on laps.

Good luck Misha! My mum won’t even let me put a paw on the MacBook.

Oh Misha, your videos are my favorite part of your blog!! Way to stake your claim, I do the same thing, except I didn’t see you kneading? A lap must ALWAYS be kneaded before you just sit down!

We have the same problem with the laptop getting in the way Misha! Our mom will usually put it on a lapdesk in front of her so we can fit on her lap while she is using it. But we still try to sit on the keyboard anyway!

Laptop – Misha: 0 – 1! Great job!

Oh, well done, Misha! Our mom sits at a little table with her laptop, but that leaves plenty of room for Derry on her lap. He gets pushy about it though, insists she have both her hands on him, cuddling, so that makes it a bit hard to type. Heh.

Well maneuvered, Misha! I don’t show much interest in being on Mom’s lap UNTIL she gets the laptop on it and then I make a beeline and try to climb onto the laptop.

Our iMac has the dock on the left, but the laptop still has it on the bottom. Mom prefers the left since the screen is wider than it is tall.

I usually plop down on the keyboard. Mom has almost given up trying to use the laptop!

Good job, Misha! I don’t think I will let 9 or Chani watch this video. Don’t want them getting ideas ;)

We just plunk ourselves down on the keyboard. Has the added bonus of being a bum warmer! (mummy gets a bit grumpy, but who listens!)

Oh yeah! Having a Misha on the lap is so much better…though I must say…it weirds me out to see a mac with the icons on the left…seems unnatural.

That was Tweetdeck in the background that looked like icons.
