It’s cicada season! Last night a cicada flew into our apartment, so it was a chance for a bit of indoor hunting.

Nom, nom, nom, nommy. Anyone want a cicada flavoured kiss?

Rosie is jealous! She used to eat those all the time. And left the remains for mommy.

Wow that is very impressive Misha! And you are lucky you got it on tape – our mom would have run out of the room immediately!

They are great low calorie snacks. We heard our first ones in our garden this weekend, so late in the summer.

Awesome! You’re a natural born hunter. Great moves, great catch, good kill (we thought you were going to lick it to death at first).

I caught a cicada once. But I made dad kill it for me. I didn’t want to get my paws dirty.

Oh my Cod, Misha!!! We are so excited over here! We watched the video all the way and it was so satisfying to hear you crunching the cicada. What a huge thing! When the sounds came out of your mouth it was a bit scary. We had no idea you’re such a great hunter. We certainly hope there’ll come more flying inside.
Happy hunting!

Cats hunt mostly at night and can eat almost anything. So I;d think ywice about kissing them first thing in the morning.
